Hydrogen is regarded as a highly clean and sustainable future energy resource. Green hydrogen produced from water using renewable energy is recognized as the most promising energy carrier. Water electrolysis is the key technology to split water into green hydrogen with zero carbon emission when it coupled with renewable electricity
WE Lab mainly focuses on the highly active and low-cost electrode materials, and the advanced electrolysis cell design with its components for direct integration with renewable energy sources. The water electrolysis technologies we are studying are alkaline water electrolysis, proton exchange membrane electrolysis, and anion exchange membrane water electrolysis.
